Petroleum Engineering students from the Australian University (AU) achieved 7th place globally at the GOTECH 2025 AI Hackathon II in Dubai. Represented by Manaris Morad and Fatemah Al Tannak and mentored by Dr. Mohammad Omar, the team impressed with an AI-based solution for predicting and optimizing Surface Network Production Flow. Competing against 123 participants worldwide, they earned recognition among the Top 20 Honorable Finalists. AU leaders praised the achievement as a reflection of the university’s commitment to innovation, excellence, and preparing students for real-world challenges in the energy sector.
