AU Successfully Holds Alumni Entrepreneurs and Business Owners Exhibition 2021

The Alumni and Career Placement Center at the Australian University (AU) successfully held the Alumni Entrepreneurs and Business Owners Exhibition 2021 over the course of two days, the 14th and 15th of December, to showcase the businesses and celebrate the achievements of AU Alumni in order to both show support to graduate entrepreneurs and to inspire current students to follow their professional dreams and aspirations.

The Exhibition was held under the media sponsorship of the Youth Public Authority, and the opening ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. Jonathan Gilbert, Australian Ambassador to Kuwait, Prof. Isam Zabalawi, President of ACK, Mr. Sager Al Sharhan, Assistant to the President for Support Services, Dr. Ayah Salhieh, Assistant to the President for Student Relations, and the guest of honor representing the Kuwait Business Council in Dubai and Northern Emirates (KBC) Mr. Feras Al Salem, Vice President of KBC.

The exhibition aimed to highlight the achievements of the Alumni business owners and to celebrate their efforts in maintaining their businesses during the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic. The exhibition hosted a diverse range of businesses including restaurants, cafes, fashion brands, marketing agencies and many more.

Commenting on the success of the exhibition, Dr. Salhieh, said: “On behalf of AU and the Alumni and Career Placement Center, I would like to salute our students and alumni for overcoming the obstacles put in their way of success due to the unpredictability of the past year with even bigger and brighter achievements.”
