The Australian University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DHL, marking a significant milestone in strengthening Kuwait’s logistics and supply chain sector. The collaboration reinforces AU’s role as a key academic partner in shaping a skilled, industry-ready logistics workforce aligned with Kuwait’s vision 2035.
This partnership aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry application, ensuring that AU graduates gain the technical knowledge and hands-on experience needed to thrive in the fast-paced logistics industry. AU’s approach integrates logistics education with other critical disciplines such as engineering, business, and aviation, creating a cohesive, multidisciplinary talent pool essential for national economic progress.
Reflecting the success of this collaboration, AU alumna Kehkashan Faisal Akbar, who graduated with a Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, completed a two-month internship with DHL’s Air Freight department. During her internship, she managed cargo processing, shipment documentation, customs coordination, and shipment tracking. She noted that the experience deepened her understanding of operational efficiency and teamwork in global logistics. Ms. Kehkashan credited AU’s mentorship, strong industry ties, and practical workshops for helping her apply classroom learning to real-world freight operations, adding that the program prepared her to pursue a dynamic career in logistics and international trade.
