The Australian University (AU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) on 4th November 2025, marking the establishment of the first ASSP Student Chapter in Kuwait.
The signing ceremony was attended by executive members of the ASSP along with Prof. Isam Zabalawi, President of AU, and Dr. Mohamed Abdul Niby, Dean of the College of Engineering, representing AU. The collaboration aimed to empower students and promote g a culture of safety and professional development at the university.
The partnership kicked off with an engaging seminar delivered by Eng. Noor Al Sadi and Mr. Bader Mubarak Al Hadhrami, inspiring students to take an active role in advancing safety standards and leadership within the field.
