Globally, AU ranked:

These outstanding results underscore AU’s sustained efforts to cultivate an inclusive academic environment, promote equitable opportunities, and generate meaningful societal impact through education, research, and institutional engagement.

The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the world’s only comprehensive global performance rankings that evaluate universities against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through a rigorous and internationally recognized methodology, the rankings assess institutional performance across four key pillars: research, stewardship, outreach, and teaching, providing a holistic measure of universities’ contributions to sustainable development.

This international recognition reflects AU’s long-term vision of embedding sustainability across every aspect of the University from academic programs and research excellence to governance, community engagement, and institutional practices. By aligning its strategic priorities with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, AU continues to strengthen its contribution to building a more sustainable, equitable, and resilient future while creating lasting impact at both the national and global levels.
