The Australian University (AU) is proud to announce that its ongoing joint research project with Idaho State University (ISU), titled “Laboratory Evaluation of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) Bars to Improve Joints in Natural Fibre Reinforced Concrete (NFRC) Pavements”, has been awarded First Place in the Top Graduate Poster Presentation category at ISU’s prestigious Research and Creative Works Symposium.
The winning research poster, presented by Mr. Saugat Dotel, master’s degree Civil Engineering student at ISU, aimed to investigate the potential of Flax Fiber-Reinforced Concrete and Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer dowels as sustainable alternatives to conventional pavement materials.
Mr. Dotel is jointly supervised and Dr. Taha Ahmad, Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at AU, and project Co-Investigator, Dr. Mohammad Hany Yassin, Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at AU. Their co-supervision has been officially acknowledged by ISU faculty, reflecting the deep collaboration between both institutions.
