The Australian University (AU) organized the Engineering Student Graduation Projects Exhibition, under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Adel Al Adwani.
Among the vast attendees of the exhibition were Dr. Adel Al Badr, Acting Secretary-General of the Private Universities Council (PUC); H.E. Ms. Melissa Kelly, The Australian Ambassador to Kuwait; H.E. Hans-Christian Freiherr von Reibnitz, The Garman Ambassador to Kuwait; and Prof. Isam Zabalawi, President of AU, along with various members of AU’s faculty, students, and their families.
The exhibition showcased 44 engineering projects from students across various specializations within the College of Engineering at AU, which included 14 projects from the College of Civil Engineering, 7 projects from the College of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 14 projects from the College of Mechanical Engineering, and 9 projects from the College of Engineering and Petroleum. In total, 220 students from the university participated in the group projects.
Commenting on the exhibition, Dr. Nader Ghareeb, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Workshop Manager, noted that the projects participating in the exhibition include new and innovative scientific ideas with real-world applications. Dr. Ghareeb further stressed that AU’s strategy focuses on the practical application of what students have studied theoretically to prepare them to enter the labor market with merit and efficiency.
