AU English Language Program Receives EAQUALS Reaccreditation

The English Language Program at the Australian University (AU) has been reaccredited by Eaquals, world leader in accreditation for language teaching organizations followed to their inspection and confirmation that AU’s English Language Program is in full compliance with all Eaquals quality standards.

Founded in 1991, Eaquals is an international non-profit association with the mission to serve the interests of language learners and the language education profession. It aims to improve the experience of language learners by developing quality standards for the teaching of modern languages and to deliver accreditation by these standards for providers of language education.

AU’s program was originally accredited by Eaquals in 2017, becoming the first English language program in Kuwait to receive the organization’s accreditation. Commenting on the university’s English Language Program following its inspection, Eaquals noted the program met the high standards required for Eaquals accreditation. It further added that the teaching, the course programs, the course organization, the learning resources, testing, and evaluation were all judged to be of high quality. It also found that AU takes great care to protect the welfare of its clients and staff, and all publicity materials produced by it are accurate and truthful.

Furthermore, Inspectors identified points of excellence in the categories of management and administration, communication with staff, communication with students and other stakeholders, course design and supporting systems, teaching and learning, assessment and certification, academic resources, student services, staff profile and development, staff employment terms, and learning environment.

Commenting on this achievement, Dr. Abdessattar Mahfoudhi, Head of the English Language Program at AU, emphasized the fact that this achievement is the result of collaboration of all the divisions and departments of the university, which is guided and supported by the Board of Trustees and the President of the University.
