AU Assistant Professor Honored with Gulf Inventor Award

Dr. Meshari Al Mutairi, an Assistant Professor at AU’s Civil Engineering Department, has achieved a great milestone by being awarded the Gulf Inventor Award during an event for inventors from the Gulf Cooperation Council. The prestigious event held in Salalah, Sultanate of Oman, from the 13th to the 14th of September, and welcomed 12 participants from all GCC countries. 

Dr. Al Mutairi’s clinched this award by presenting his innovative project on soil remediation, positioning him as a prominent figure in the realm of Environmental Imagination and Invention. Notably, his contributions to the environmental field extend beyond this accolade, encompassing the initiation of six different patents. Among these, two patents garnered him prestigious gold medals at international exhibitions in Geneva and Seoul. Additionally, Dr. Al Mutairi received a distinguished Future Leader Award in Japan.  

Reflecting on this remarkable achievement, Dr. Al Mutairi shared his perspective, emphasizing: “Success isn’t a destination; it’s a journey paved with countless achievements. Keep going, keep pushing, and keep celebrating your wins along the way.”
