I developed Recursive Residuals for Linear Mixed Models and applied them on real life problems using Statistical package R and Splus. My research interests are broad, more recently covering methodological developments in applied statistics but for the most mainly in applications of statistics. My work in statistical methodology is focused primarily on model selection techniques, modelling checking, recursive estimation and residuals, and their applications.
Currently, I am trying to combine recursive estimation with Linear Mixed models to model time varying parameters and checking the adequacy of the model. Recursive Residuals and signed residuals are still underdeveloped for many statistical models like GLM, LMM, GLMM. Developing such residuals for these models along with their applications is a very rich area of research.
More generally, my interest is in advances applied statistical tools and their applications. Applications include Regression models such as; simple and multiple linear regression Generalized Linear models (GLM), Linear Mixed Models (LMM), GLMM, GAM, GAMM, time series, multivariate analysis, and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Advanced applied statistical tools led to a collaboration with researchers from different fields including Biomedical, Public Health, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Education, Psychology, and sports science.
