The English Language Program at the Australian University has been reaccredited by Eaquals, a world leader in accreditation and quality assurance for language teaching organizations following their inspection in April 2026, confirming that AU’s English Language Program is in compliance with all Eaquals quality standards.
AU’s program was originally accredited by Eaquals in 2017, becoming the first English language program in Kuwait to receive the organization’s accreditation, and it has now successfully achieved accredited status for a fourth consecutive reaccreditation cycle. Commenting on the university’s English Language Program following the inspection, Eaquals indicated that the program had met the high standards required for Eaquals accreditation status.
The 2026 reaccreditation confirms that the English Language Program is a high-performing, student-centred, and well-managed course with significant strengths in leadership, student support, course design and assessment instructor skills, knowledge and engagement and institutional integration. The categories of Course Design, Course Organization, and Assessment were all judged to be of notable quality. Additionally, points of excellence were identified in the areas of Institutional Management and Governance including communication with staff, students and stakeholders, staff development and learning environment and facilities. Further points of distinction were noted in the Staff and Student Services categories, with specific acknowledgment of the highly qualified, experienced and competent staff as well as its comprehensive employment terms and benefits, and the great care taken to protect the welfare of AU’s clients and employees in a safe and inclusive environment.
Commenting on this achievement, Dr. Abdessattar Mahfoudhi, Head of the English Language Program at AU, emphasized that this achievement is the result of continued collaboration of all divisions and departments of the university, which is guided and supported by the Board of Trustees and the President of the University.
