The Australian University (AU) successfully hosted and organized on campus the fourth annual College of Business International Conference on Digital Transformation, Sustainability, and AI (AU-ICDSA 2026). The conference brought together academics, industry leaders, and technology specialists to explore the theme “Human-Machine Collaboration for Sustainable Growth and Harnessing the Potential of AI.”

The conference was led by AU in collaboration with the Centre for Business Analytics (CBAP) at the University of Surry, United Kingdom; the International Center of Industrial Transformation (INCIT), Singapore; and sponsored by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), aiming to foster inclusive dialogue and actionable strategies to build resilient, AI-enabled futures.

Throughout the two-day program, attendees engaged in a diverse set of keynote presentations, panel discussions, and research sessions addressing AI-driven transformation across sectors such as energy, supply chain, finance, public services, and education. Multiple presentations focused on leveraging machine learning for environmental sustainability, predictive maintenance, and smarter resource utilization, aligning closely with Kuwait’s wider goals for economic diversification and technological advancement.

Commenting on the success of the event, Dr. Farid Abdallah, Conference Chair and Dean of the College of Business at AU, said: “AU-ICDSA 2026 is a powerful reminder of what becomes possible when we bring diverse minds together. By uniting researchers, innovators, practitioners, and leaders from around the world, we create the kind of collaborative energy that drives real progress. At AU, we believe that these shared conversations are essential to shaping an AI-enabled future that is responsible, sustainable, and beneficial for our region and beyond.”

The conference ended with strong engagement from both local and international participants, reaffirming AU’s position as a regional hub for innovation focused dialogue. As Kuwait continues to accelerate its digital transformation, AU remains committed to providing platforms that support interdisciplinary research, empower future talent, and contribute meaningfully to national progress.
