The Australian University (AU) participated in the 13th American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) Kuwait Chapter Professional Development Conference, held on 4–5 October 2026, reinforcing the university’s commitment to professional engagement, knowledge exchange, and collaboration with industry.
AU’s participation builds on the Memorandum of Understanding between the university and the ASSP Kuwait Chapter, supporting continued cooperation and opportunities for engagement between both organizations.
As part of the conference program, AU contributed four technical presentations delivered by Dr. Adel Younis, Eng. Khaled Hantoush, Dr. Abeer Al Anazi, and Dr. Ahmed Assad, sharing academic and professional expertise with participants from the health and safety sector.
Students from the AU–ASSP Student Chapter also took part as conference volunteers, providing them with valuable exposure to the professional health and safety community and an opportunity to engage with industry specialists.
AU was the only university represented at the conference with a dedicated exhibition booth, where representatives highlighted the university’s academic programs and engaged with conference attendees and industry professionals.
In recognition of its support for the conference and its continued collaboration with the ASSP Kuwait Chapter, AU was also recognized as one of the event’s Endorsing Organizations.
