The Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Avionics) B2, is a specialized program aimed at preparing students for a dynamic career in aircraft electronics and avionics systems. This program provides in-depth knowledge and practical experience in maintaining and repairing the complex electronic systems that are integral to modern aircraft. Students will explore a wide range of topics, including navigation systems, communication equipment, and flight control systems, all while adhering to international aviation regulations. Curriculum Highlights and Learning Outcomes

The Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Avionics) B2 consists of the following:

    • Theoretical study consists of (1500 hours) at AU.
    • Part/CAR 147 Practical Training (700 hours) at AU.
    • Part/CAR145 Practical Training (300 hours) at Kuwait Airways.
    • 29 Formative Exams.
    • Required minimum attendance 80% for each unit.
    • Required 75% pass mark.
    • 12 DGCA/EASA/GCAA Part/CAR 66 module examinations.
    • Required minimum attendance 90% per single module.
    • Required 75% pass mark.
    • Student requires a minimum successful completion of at least 3 module exams of the 12 module examinations to get the AU Diploma in B2.
    • Student requires a minimum successful completion of at least 3 module exams of the 12 module examinations to get the AU Diploma in B2.

Students who have successfully completed all the requirements of the DGCA/EASA/GCAA approved Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Avionics) B2 will be awarded the following:

    • AU Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Avionics (B2).
    • And/or; Certificate of Recognition of DCA/EASA/GCAA – Part147 or Avionics (B2).
    • Graduates could be employed locally or internationally at any Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO) that is approved by EASA Part-145, and achieve two of year’s practical experience in pursuit of EASA license.
